Zeus - Boot2Root VM

Release Date: 20/4/19

This is my first Boot2Root VM.
Your goal is to get root and read the flags.

Level: Intermediate
Flags: user.txt and root.txt
Format: OVF
Tested: VMware Worstation
Networking: DHCP enabled
IP: Automatically assign

    Hello Sir, I have added this machine into my VMWare. Can't i scan it without logging into it. Both my Kali and Zeus machine are on NAT Network.

    Yes, you should be able to scan it. Try using netdiscover to find the machine's IP. If it doesn't get an IP try changing the network to bridge mode for both machines.

      Yeah I can see that the machine is discoverable through netdiscover. But while performing nmap, it says-

      root@kali:~# nmap -A 192.168.131.170
      Starting Nmap 7.80 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-11-24 00:46 EST
      Note: Host seems down. If it is really up, but blocking our ping probes, try -Pn
      Nmap done: 1 IP address (0 hosts up) scanned in 5.21 seconds

      Network connection is set as Bridge.

      Also tried -Pn option--
